ALPHA
EPSILON LAMBDA
Alpha Epsilon Lambda is the only honorary group on
campus devoted exclusively to honoring graduate and
professional school students. Alpha Epsilon
Lambda members at The University of Montevallo work
to support the Graduate Council, promote involvement
and leadership in campus organizations, participate
in community service projects, provide an atmosphere
of fellowship for graduate students, and advocate
excellence in scholarship and personal development.
Dr. Glee Whitsett is the faculty advisor for Alpha
Epsilon Lambda. Dr. Whitsett can be reached by
email (whitsettrg@montevallo.edu)
or phone (665-6368).
SAEA
Student Alabama Education Association is the
institutional affiliate of AEA and NEA. The
focus of the group's activity is the enhancement of
professionalism among prospective teachers. The faculty advisor for SAEA
will be determined soon.
SCEC
Student Council of Exceptional Children is the
local arm of the national organization (CEC) which
is dedicated to the support of students with special
needs. Student activities include volunteering
with students with disabilities and assistance in
special education classrooms. The organization
meets bi-monthly. Dr. Hollie Cost is the
faculty advisor for SCEC. Dr. Cost can be
reached by email (costhc@montevallo.edu)

SAEA

each other. When you join one of these
organizations, you are actually joining both!
