Dean, Kenneth J. Procter

Ken Procter earned his Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1981 and joined the University of Montevallo art faculty that same year.  He now serves as Dean of the College of Fine Arts, and continues to teach drawing and painting for the Art Department. Procter’s work has appeared in over 90 solo, invitational, group, and juried exhibitions, including museum shows in Huntsville and Montgomery, and has earned several awards including an Alabama Artist Fellowship.  He is represented by Schedler Minchen Fine Art in Birmingham, Trinity Gallery in Atlanta, and Lowe Gallery in Los Angeles, and is included in numerous public and private collections. He has written for American Artist, and is a regular contributing editor to Drawing magazine.
