Intramurals

Athletic pursuits at UM aren’t just for those wearing an official Falcons uniform.

Sure, we’re proud to host a number of successful sports programs, but intramural sports are the perfect place for students to unleash their competitive spirits. Intramurals are available to any student who’s willing to join up and go play, and teams compete throughout the year in ultimate frisbee, flag football, basketball, volleyball, and softball for a chance to hoist the UM Intramural Cup at the end of the year. If you’re looking to get some exercise and have some good clean fun, join an intramural team—or rally the troops and start one of your own.

  • Basketball

The intramural basketball season will take place at the end of the fall semester (after volleyball and flag football have concluded). A regular season format will take place, followed by a playoff tournament at the end of the season.

  • Flag Football

The competitiveness of America’s favorite sport, minus the tackling part. Flag football is the fall intramural sport. A regular season format will take place, followed by a playoff tournament at the end of the season.

  • Softball

When springtime officially begins at UM, it’s time for softball season. Softball is a great reason to get outdoors once the winter has melted away. A regular season format will take place, followed by a playoff tournament at the end of the season.

  • Ultimate Frisbee

The Official Unofficial Pastime of UM kicks off the intramural season every year. Ultimate frisbee begins at the beginning of the fall semester. A regular season format will take place, followed by a playoff tournament at the end of the season.

  • Volleyball

While the weather is still cold, intramural volleyball kicks off the spring semester indoors. Volleyball is the perfect way to pick up the intramural season after the holiday break. A regular season format will take place, followed by a playoff tournament at the end of the season.
