Classes

At the Robert M. McChesney Student Activity Center (SAC), you’ll find a weight room furnished with numerous machines, free weights and other equipment to stimulate your workout, a state-of-the-art natatorium for serious swimming, and courts for racquetball and walleyball.

If you need some assistance with your training regimen, personal trainers are available in the morning and the evening during the week. And if you’d rather put together a pick-up game or just shoot around, there are basketball courts located both in Myrick Gym and Bibb Graves Hall.

Classes Offered for Spring 2015

No classes will be offered Jan. 19 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, March 28-April 4 for spring break, and April 5 in observance of Easter.

  • Kickboxing Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m. in Bibb Graves Dance Studio

    This full-body workout class will teach you coordination and flexibility while building immense strength. Burn major calories while perfecting your jab, hook, uppercuts, and roundhouses.

  • Water Aerobics Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m. in SAC pool

    Water aerobics is a great way to break up your exercise routine! This class combines cardio and resistance training while supporting the body to reduce the risk of joint or muscle injury. Stay cool while you exercise and take the plunge!

  • Yoga Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-6 p.m. in Bibb Graves Dance Studio

    Practicing yoga on a regular basis will build physical strength, balance, and flexibility, as well as improve mental focus and concentration. You will also learn techniques to relax and de-stress. This class is open to all levels of participants. Yoga mat and towel required.

  • Zumba Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. in Bibb Graves Dance Studio

    Party yourself into shape! Join the fitness craze that has swept the nation! Zumba is a fun, exciting way to exercise. Set to upbeat popular music, you’ll be using your new Latin moves to dance yourself to a whole new you!
