Program Assessment Data
In compliance with the
policies of the University of Montevallo and the
accreditation standards of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), the
Social Work Program conducts yearly program assessments, and then uses the
assessment data to verify the Program’s curriculum or make changes as needed.
As part of our assessment, we measure and report student learning outcomes based
on the core competencies that comprise the CSWE’s accreditation standards. These
competencies are dimensions of social work practice that social workers are
expected to master during their professional training. For a complete listing of

The Montevallo Social Work Program
is required by the CSWE to report its most recent assessment outcomes to
constituents and the public on its website and routinely up-dates (minimally
