HARTLEY NAMED FIRST TEAM ALL-GULF SOUTH CONFERENCE

BIRMINGHAM (4/18) -- Freshman Rachel Hartley is one of nine student-athletes who have been named to the First Team All-Gulf South Conference, it has been announced.

The Mobile native is the first Lady Falcon to be named as a First Team All-Gulf South Conference pick. Teammate Shasta Brown was named to the Second Team All-Gulf South Conference selection last season.

Hartley posted a 5-3 record at No. 1 singles, and a 7-3 record at No. 2 singles this season. She also posted a 9-5 record at No. 1 doubles.

Joining Hartley on the First Team are Pippa Reakes and Yuliya Zelenskaya of North Alabama, Dominique Rothlaender and Raphaella Durante of Valdosta State, Nicole Shanahan of West Alabama, Suzanna Cavalcante, Paolo Arevalo and Renata Mattos of West Florida.
