Steve Faulkner will return for his
second
season as head coach of the women's tennis
program at the University of Montevallo.
Faulkner concurrently is a teaching
professional at the Pelham Tennis Center. He was previously the
tennis director at the Altadena Country
Club in Birmingham for 14 years. Faulkner
has also been a pro-coach with the Pelham
High School varsity team for the past six
years, and is a certified teaching
professional with the United States
Professional Tennis Association since
1987.A 1985 graduate in Computer Information
Systems at Jacksonville State University,
Faulkner is also Chairman of Junior
Competition for the United States Tennis
Association-Alabama, helping oversee
junior tournaments throughout the state.
He has served on the USTA-Alabama
committee since 1997.
Faulkner, with
wife Sandy, and children Lauren, 15, and
Cameron, 10, reside in Alabaster. Lauren
currently competes with the varsity team
at Thompson High School. |
