Brittany Correia competes in her
second season with the Lady Falcons. She
will compete for playing
time as a midfielder. Last season, she
was one of five players to compete and
start in all 16 matches. She scored a
goal against West Florida and had two
assists. She was also one of 13 Lady
Falcons named to the Gulf South
Conference Honor Roll.
Brittany competed for four years at Oak
Mountain High School. As a senior, she
was team captain and the team’s leading
scorer as a forward and midfielder. As a
junior, she was named Honorable Mention
All-State and All-Metro, while leading
the team in scoring with seven goals and
11 assists. As a sophomore, Brittany was
Honorable Mention All-State, All-Metro,
and All-County, voted the Most Improved
Player and was third on the team in
scoring. Brittany has also competed for
seven years with the American Soccer
Club and was team captain of the U-17
Team and was a member of the Alabama ODP team in 2002 and 2003.
Brittany was named to the National Honor
Society, National Society of High School
Scholars, National Spanish Honor
Society, and three-time recipient of the
Academic Excellence Award and
Principal's Honor Roll. Brittany is the recipient
of the University of Montevallo Academic
Scholarship. She has a younger sister,
Heather.
An mathematics major at UM, she is the daughter of Stephen
and Cindy Correia. |
