Montevallo Lends a Helping Hand to Local Family
 

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men’s soccer team reached out and embraced the local community by volunteering to support the Greater Birmingham Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit Christian housing ministry that builds quality, affordable houses and also revitalizes existing homes. Their central aim is to encourage family stability and promote self-sufficiency, while endorsing educational achievement and responsible citizenship.    more

 

 

 

 

46 Montevallo Student-Athletes Named to GSC Fall Academic Honor Roll

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo athletic department was tops among non-football schools in the Gulf South Conference with 46 student-athletes named to the Gulf South Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll. The Falcons were second only to Harding University who had 25 football athletes and eight men’s cross country athletes to push past the Falcons. The Falcons also had eight student-athletes named to their respective All-Academic Teams.   more

Maloney Named NSCAA/adidas First Team All-American

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Senior forward Jonathan Maloney (West Yorkshire, England) of the University of Montevallo men’s soccer team was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas All-America First Team. Maloney becomes the first Montevallo men’s soccer player to be named a first team All-American by the NSCAA.  more

Four Falcons Named to All-South Region Squads

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men’s soccer team was awarded three spots on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas All-South Region Teams. Senior Jonathan Maloney (West Yorkshire, England), senior Jim Witherow (Huntsville, Alabama) and sophomore Milan Pualic (Subotica, Serbia) were named to the first team while sophomore Otavio Tramontina (Sao Paulo, Brazil) was a second team selection.  more
