Alex Vollmeier will compete in her second and final season with the Lady Falcons. Alex will compete for playing time in the post area. Last season, she appeared in 28 games and started in 11 games. She averaged 3.8 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. Alex scored a season-best 17 points while grabbing eight rebounds against Arkansas Tech. Alex is a transfer to Seminole State College in Oklahoma, where she competed for head coach Rita Story-Schell, along with assistant coach and former Falcon Kenneth Cooper. Alex was a first alternate All-State, All-Region and All-Conference selection while competing for coach Tony Arnold at Paden High School in Paden, Okla. She was also named to the All-Conference Tournament Team and was named team MVP.

 A business management major at UM, she is the daughter of Nelly and Heinz Vollmeier.
