Kristen Seigenthaler will compete in her first season with the Montevallo women’s basketball program. She will compete for playing time as a guard. Kristen was a Daily News Journal Honorable Mention All-Area, Second Team All-District 7-AAA selection and named to the District All-Tournament team her senior season while competing for coach Alan Bush at Siegel High School in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Kristen averaged 10.5 points and 2.4 assists per game, while shooting 47 percent from the 3-point line and 83 percent from the free throw line. She also shot a team best 71 percent from the free throw line and was a Daily News Journal Honorable Mention All-Area selection as a sophomore. Kristen was also involved with Key Club, Beta Club and membership in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Kristen was a high school teammate of Carrie Parrott.

A kinesiology major at UM, she is the daughter of Carl and Vonita Seigenthaler.
