MONTEVALLO (7/24) – The University of Montevallo men's basketball team has added five student-athletes for the 2008-09 season, it has been announced by head coach Danny Young.
Freddy Little (Bunn, N.C.), Jordan Ragan (Las Vegas, Nev.), Marcus Lancaster (Grand Rapids, Mich.), Adam Krych (Morris, N.J.) and Nate Flowers (Waldorf, Md.) will join the Falcons this season.
Little, a 5-11 guard was an Honorable Mention NJCAA All-American and FCCAA All-State selection in 2007, averaging 20.4 points and four assists per game at Miami-Dade College. Little was originally a signee of UNC-Wilmington.
Ragan, a 6-1 guard averaged 11 points and four assists per game at Garden City CC after signing with New Mexico State.
Lancaster, a 5-10, guard was a Second Team All-Conference selection at Southwestern Christian College averaging 18 points per game and shooting 42 percent from the 3-point line.
Krych, a 6-11 center, was a First Team All-Conference pick at County College of Morris. There, he averaged 21 points and nine rebounds per game.
Flowers, a 6-6
forward, was an All-Conference pick and
averaged 14 points and eight rebounds
per game his freshman season at Eastern
Oklahoma State College. Last season, he
competed at Redlands CC in El Reno, Tex.
He was also listed at No. 67 among top
junior college prospects in the nation
