Ty  Youngblood will have the opportunity to compete in his first season with the Montevallo men’s basketball team . After spending the past championship season as a redshirt, he will compete for playing time this season as a guard.

Ty competed at Cornerstone Christian School for coach Tim Smith. He averaged 17 points per game as a senior and was part of an AISA State Championship his junior season. He was team captain for the football and baseball teams his senior and was team MVP in football, basketball and baseball. Ty was also named class Salutatorian.

A biology major at UM, his is the son of Pam and Keith Youngblood.
