DeAndre Miranda will compete in his first season with the Montevallo basketball team. He will compete for playing time in the post area. DeAndre averaged 10.2 points and 5.5 rebounds his sophomore season and 6.9 points along with 5.7 rebounds his freshman season while playing for coach Tim Ryan at Central Florida Community College. He was named First Team Mid-Florida Conference and the team finished as runner up in the state tournament his sophomore season. DeAndre was also an Honorable Mention All-Conference pick as a freshman.

DeAndre was voted on the Top 40 players while he was a junior at Peoria Central High School. The team was a two-time state champion. His senior year he was named to the Fourth Team All-State and First Team All-Conference.

DeAndre has two brothers, Keenan Hayes and Sivoy Dawson, along with two sisters Dominique Miranda and Simeka Dawson. A sociology major at UM, he is the son of Cheryl Miranda.
