Anthony Brown
6-7 Sophomore Forward
Birmingham, Alabama
# 32

Anthony Brown returns for his second season with the Falcons and will compete for playing time in the post area. Last season, he averaged 5.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. Brown left enough of an impression among conference coaches to be named Gulf South Conference East Division Freshman of the Year. He was also named to the All-Freshman Team by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Brown appeared in all 34 games and started in one game, shooting 55 percent from the field and 73 percent from the free throw line. He scored in double figures in seven games, including a season-best 17 points against Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras. He also grabbed 10 rebounds in a victory over Valdosta State.

Brown competed for coach Kelly Cheatham at Ramsay High School, where the team won the Alabama 5A State Championship in 2006 and he was named to the State All-Tournament Team.

A mathematics major at UM, he is the son of Rhonda Banner, Carnell Banner and Bettie Martin.
