Heath Wilson will compete
in his third season of competition with the Montevallo baseball
program. He will be expected to compete for playing time on the
mound. He returns to the team after a one-year hiatus, last
competing for the Falcons in 2006. That season, Heath appeared
in 18 games and started in one game. He posted a 3.71 ERA in
26.2 innings of work. He earned a season-opening victory at
Southern Arkansas and posted a victory over Miles College.
Against Miles, Heath went four innings, and collected five
strikeouts. As a freshman, he appeared in 10 games and posted a
1-0 record and 4.19 ERA. He earned a complete game victory
allowing two earned runs and six hits with a season-best
strikeouts against Stillman.
Wilson prepped
at Boaz High School under coach Nick Dixon. While at Boaz High,
Wilson was named All-County and All-Region Pitcher. A
kinesiology major at UM, Wilson is the son of Charles and Debbie
Wilson. |
