Jeffrey Reach will return
for his second and final season with the Montevallo baseball
program. . He will compete for playing time not only in the
infield and on the mound as well. Last season on the mound, Jeff
appeared in 17 games, started 11 games, earned a complete game
victory against West Florida. At the plate, he appeared in 27
games, started in 23 games and posted a .352 batting average
with three home runs and 14 RBI. He had six multi-hit with three
multi-RBI game and a 10-game hitting streak. He was named to the
Second Team All-Gulf South Conference, Gulf South Conference
Honor Roll and Dean’s List.
Jeffrey transferred to UM from
Central Alabama Community College, where he competed for coach
Don Ingram. Jeffrey was named Second Team All-Conference his
freshman year, and was also named to the Phi Theta Kappa Honor
Society.
Jeffrey competed for coach Tommy
Youngblood at Oak Mountain High School, where he was named to
the All-Over the Mountain Team, and participated the East/West
All-Star Game. A marketing major at UM, he is the son of Terry
and Betsy Reach. |
