Four More Added to
Volleyball for 2009
MONTEVALLO, Ala. –
University of
Montevallo volleyball head coach Katie O’Brien announced the
signing of four more recruits for 2009. Manyi Ati (Lawrenceville,
Ga./Grayson), Tarnesha Stephens (Opelika, Ala./Auburn),
Betsy Stevenson (DeFuniak Springs, Fla./Walton) and Brittany
Wilson (Floyds Knobs, Ind./Floyd Central) will all join the Falcons
this fall in their first season in the Peach Belt Conference.

Johnson and
Viljoen Selected to Attend NCAA Conference
MONTEVALLO, Ala. –
The University of Montevallo received notification last week that two of
their student-athletes have been selected to participate in the 2009
NCAA National Student-Athlete Development Conference. Volleyball junior
Katie Johnson (Alabaster, Alabama) and sophomore men’s
golfer Ruwaldt Viljoen (Johannesburg, South Africa) were selected
to participate in the conference, which takes place May 24-27 in
Orlando, Florida, at the Walt Disney World Coronado Spring Resort.

Volleyball Tryout
Date Announced
MONTEVALLO, Ala. –
Head
coach Katie O’Brien of the University of Montevallo volleyball team has
announced a tryout date for high school seniors and junior college
players on Feb. 8 at 1:00 p.m. All interested players need to bring
along a physical that is dated within six months of Feb. 8 due to NCAA
regulations.
