Shasta Brown

Shasta Brown will compete in her second and final season with the Montevallo women’s tennis team. Last season, Shasta was named to the Second Team All-Gulf South Conference, becoming the fourth consecutive and fifth Lady Falcon overall to be named All-Conference. Competing mostly at No. 2 singles and doubles, she posted an 8-7 record in singles and 7-9 record in doubles. Shasta is a transfer to UM from Central Alabama Community College, where she competed for coach Kathleeen Thompson. There, her team finished No. 4 in the nation. She also competed her freshman season at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville. Shasta prepped at Enterprise High School, competing for coach Wanda Weeks. In high school, her team won the sectional tournament and competed in the state tournament for four years. She has a brother Colby Brown, a stepbrother Clint Head, and a sister Laura Head. A marketing major at UM, she is the daughter of Julius and Debbie Head. |
