Montevallo finishes
second at 2008 Gulf South Conference Women's Golf Championships --
Bell and Gibson finish in top six to be named to GSC All-Tournament Team
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (4/21) -- The University of Montevallo women's golf team
placed second overall (nine teams) at the 2008 Gulf South Conference Women's Golf
Championships, played at the Hot Springs Country Club in Hot Springs, Ark.
Senior Morgan Bell and freshman Emily Gibson both finished in the
top six, to be named to the GSC All-Tournament Team. Bell finished fifth overall, posting a two-round score of
157 (80-77), while Gibson placed sixth, with a two-round score of 159 (82-77).

Breen signs with Lady Falcons for
2008-09
MONTEVALLO (4/28) – The University of Montevallo
women's golf program has signed an individual for the 2008-09 school year.
Emma Breen, a native of Swindon England has sign a letter of intent to
compete for the Lady Falcons, beginning in Fall 2008.

earn All-Gulf South Conference honors
BIRMINGHAM (4/18) -- Two members of the University of Montevallo women's
golf team have been named to the first-ever selection based Women's Golf
All-Gulf South Conference Team, it has been announced.
Senior Morgan Bell is one of five student-athletes named to the First
Team All-Gulf South Conference, while freshman Emily Gibson was one of
four student-athletes named to the Second Team All-Gulf South Conference.. more

second meet of spring -- Lady Falcons win Natural State Golf Classic -- Bell
earns medalist honors
HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. (4/15) -- For the second time this spring, the University of Montevallo
women's golf team claimed a team tournament championship, as UM won the
Natural State Golf Classic, hosted by Harding University and played at the
Red Apple Country Club in Heber Springs, Ark.
UM posted a two-round team score of 645 to lead the nine-team field. Henderson
State (678) placed second overall, while Arkansas Tech (679) placed third.
Senior Morgan Bell earned medalist honors, recording a two-round
score of 158 (77-78). Freshmen Heather Mutton (80-82) and Britney
Martin (83-79) finished tied for second with a score of
162.
Lady Falcons at No.
26 in latest Golfstat national poll -- Bell and Gibson remain ranked in Top
Ten in GSC
MONTEVALLO (4/2) -- The University of Montevallo women's golf team is
ranked at No. 25 in the latest Golfstat/NCAA Division II poll (head-to-head
rankings), it has been announced.

Lady Falcons win UWG
Invitational -- freshmen Martin and Mutton tie for second overall
VILLA RICA, Ga. (3/25) -- The University of Montevallo women's golf team won
the University of West Georgia Invitational, contested in Villa Rica, Ga.
Freshmen Britney Martin and Heather Mutton finished tied for second overall.
Lady Falcons post
school-record round to place second as a team at Buffalo Wild Wings
Invitational
CALERA (3/11) -- The University of Montevallo shot a school-record 306 in
the second round, en route to a second place team finish at the Buffalo Wild
Wings Invitational, at Timberline Golf Club. Birmingham Southern College won the team competition, posting a two-round
score of 627. UM was next at 637, while the University of Mobile (651)
finished third. Morgan Bell was the top finisher for UM, placing third with a score of
155 (79-76). Emily Gibson tied for fourth place (158).
Lady Falcons finish
ninth as team at Ann Rhoads BSC Shootout
CALERA (2/25) -- The University of Montevallo women's golf team finished
ninth as a team (15 teams) at the Ann Rhoads/Birmingham Southern Shootout,
at Timberline Golf Club.
Samford University won the team competition, posting a two-day score of 635.
Murray State University finished second (644), while Tennessee Tech and
Birmingham Southern finished tied for third (648).
Individually, Morgan Bell was the top finisher for UM, placing eighth
overall with a two-round score of 157.
