HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (4/22) -- The University
of Montevallo men's golf team finished eighth as team (13 teams) at the
2008 Gulf South Conference Men's Golf Championships,
played at the Hot Springs Country Club in Hot Springs,
Ark.
Nationally ranked No. 1 University of West Florida won
the team competition, posting a three-round team score
of 856. North Alabama was second (870), while Valdosta
State (877) finished third. UM recorded a three-round
team score of 923.
Individually, Tobias Rosendahl of West Florida earned medalist
honors, recording a three-round score of 212 (73-72-67) to
finish 4 under par. Tripp Cash was the top finisher for UM, finishing
tied for 16th overall with a three-round score of 222
(71-79-72).
Other UM scores included Jon Henderson (228,
T-28th); T.J. Butts (232, T-39th); Torrie
Coghlin (242, 55th) and Danny Hebert
(245, T-56th).
UM has concluded the 2008 spring golf season.
