Falcons sign
three for 2008-09
MONTEVALLO (5/1) – The University of Montevallo men’s
golf program has signed three student-athletes for the
2008-09 school year.
Nathan Brown from Cullman, Aaron Ebert
from Huron, Ohio and Jordan Melanson from Nelson,
British Columbia have signed letters of intent to
compete for the Falcons in Fall 2008.

Montevallo
finishes eighth as a team at 2008 GSC Championships
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (4/22) -- The University
of Montevallo men's golf team finished eighth as team (13 teams) at the
2008 Gulf South Conference Men's Golf Championships, played at the Hot
Springs Country Club in Hot Springs, Ark. Tripp Cash was the top finisher for UM, finishing
tied for 16th overall with a three-round score of 222
(71-79-72).
Falcons
compete at Emerald Coast Classic
GULF BREEZE, Fla. (4/8) -- The University of Montevallo men's golf
team competed at the Emerald Coast Classic at Eagle Point, hosted by the
University of West Florida. Tournament host and No. 1 nationally ranked
West Florida won the team competition, posting a three-round score of
858. Individually, Danny Hebert posted the best score for UM, placing
53rd overall with a three-round score of 233.
Falcons place
11th as a team at UNA Spring Classic
MUSCLE SHOALS (4/1) -- The University
of Montevallo men's golf team placed 11th as a team (15 teams) at the
North Alabama Spring Classic, held at the Robert Trent Jones of the
Shoals Fighting Joe Course in Muscle Shoals. Danny Hebert
was the top finisher for UM, finishing tied for 23rd overall with a
two-round score of 156.
Falcons place
third overall at UWG Invitational -- freshman Butts finishes tied for
fifth overall
VILLA RICA, Ga. (3/25) -- The University of
Montevallo men's golf team placed third overall as a team at the
University of West Georgia Invitational, contested in Villa Rica, Ga.
Individually, freshman T.J. Butts placed tied for fifth overall.
Falcons compete
at Buffalo Wild Wings Invitational -- Butts and Cash finish in Top 10
CALERA (3/11) -- The University of
Montevallo competed at the Buffalo Wild Wings Invitational, at
Timberline Golf Club Monday and Tuesday.
The University of West Georgia won the team competition, posting a
two-round score of 584. The UM "A" team finished with a team score of
607, while the "B" team posted a team score of 613. |
