Montevallo Student-Athletes Named to GSC Spring Academic Honor Roll
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The
University of Montevallo athletic department was third among East
Division Gulf South Conference schools with 29 student-athletes named to
the Gulf South Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll. Three individuals
were named to their respective All-Academic Teams for the 2008-09 year.
The Falcons trailed just the University of West Florida (41) and
Valdosta State University (31) who each field softball and men’s tennis
teams which adds to their total number.

Falcons Finish
Eighth at GSC Championship
HOT SPRINGS, Ark.
– The
University of Montevallo men’s golf played in its final Gulf South
Conference Championship finishing eighth overall with a team score of
914, a shot shy of seventh position. The Falcons were led by junior
Tripp Cash (Troy, Alabama) who finished in 14th with a
three round score of 221.

Cash Leads Falcons
to Fifth Place Finish
BREVARD, N.C. – The
University of Montevallo men’s golf team took home its best finish of
the year as they placed fifth out of 14 teams at the weather shortened
Independent Collegiate Invite. Junior Tripp Cash (Troy, Alabama)
led the way as he tied for eighth place with a one round score of 73.
