FALCONS TO INDUCT FOUR NEW MEMBERS
 TO UM ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME


The University of Montevallo will be inducting four individuals into their Athletic Hall of Fame on Sunday, May 22 at the University of Montevallo. 

Courtney Adams (women's soccer), Harold Breen (men’s golf), Matthew Wheatley (men’s soccer) along with long-time supporter William “Billy”  Hill comprise the Class of 2005. Hill will be honored for meritorious service.

Adams was a two-time All-Gulf South Conference selection and member of the first women's soccer team at UM. A four-year letterwinner at UM, she anchored the Lady Falcon defense as a sweeper, and assisted the Lady Falcons in posting three shutout victories in 1996, four shutout victories in 1997 and seven shutout victories in 1998.

Breen was a three-time NAIA District 27 and two-time All-Southern States Conference selection. He earned All-Tournament honors in four tournaments, and earned medalist honors in two tournaments. He was a four-year letterwinner for UM.

Wheatley was a four All-Gulf South Conference selection, and became the first soccer player to be named to the NSCAA All-South Region team. He was also named to All-GSC Tournament teams in 1997 and 1999.

Hill was a long-time member of the Falcon Club and was named Chairman of the Falcon Club Board of Directors in 1992. Hill helped secure the rights to the Region III Olympic Development Program (ODP) girls soccer camp, beginning in the summer of 1993. Many of the top players in women’s soccer at the national and international level have competed in the ODP program.
