Allyson McKell returns for her second season with the University of Montevallo women's cross-country program. Last season, she earned the best time for the team in four different meets, at Sewanee, UAH, the Crimson Classic and the Rhodes Invitational. She posted a season-best time of 20:55 at the Crimson Classic, the first sub-21 minute time for a Lady Falcon runner. She went on to record a time of 21:23 at the 2006 Gulf South Conference Cross-Country Championships.

Allyson competed for coach Brett Huber at Vestavia Hills High School. Allyson posted a time of 19:41 (5k) at the state meet. She helped her team finish third in the state (Class 6A)She was runner up in the 1600m at the 2004 State indoor championships, helped the team break the state indoor team record in the 800 meter relay and the outdoor 800 meter relay in 2005.

She has three brothers, Charles, Mitchell and Michael, as well as a sister Michelle.

A speech pathology major at UM, she is the daughter of Mitchell and Sandra McKell.
