Brooke Deason

Brooke Deason returns for her third year of competition with the Lady Falcons. Last season, Brooke ran in three meets, posting a season-best time of 22:06 at the 2006 Gulf South Conference Women's Cross-Country Championships, helping the Lady Falcons post an eighth place team finish (15 teams). As a freshman, Brooke posted the top UM times in two meets, at Tennessee Tech, and at the 2005 Gulf South Conference meet. She posted a personal-best time of 20:14 at the GSC meet. Brooke was named to the GSC Honor Roll, one of four Lady Falcons to be honored.

Brooke was a four-time All-County selection while competing for coaches David Dobbs and Barry Milhorn at Hewitt-Trussville High School. She is a four-year letter winner in cross-country and track at Hewitt-Trussville, was named an honor graduate and named outstanding technical theatre student. She has a brother Brent, and sisters Morgan and Christen.

A double major in English and Communication Studies at UM, she is the daughter of Morris and Jill Deason.
