Tiaren Young will compete in her first season with the Lady Falcons. Tiaren will compete for playing time either in the backcourt or in the post. She competed for coach Kevin Tubbs at Minor High School her senior season. There, she averaged 10 points and eight rebounds per game. The team finished 23-8 overall. Tiaren also competed for three years at Spain Park High School, starting on the varsity as a sophomore and junior. She was an Honorable Mention All-State and All-Metro and named to the Southeast Regional All-Tournament Team as a junior, and an All-Metro selection and recipient of the “Lady Jag” Award as a sophomore.

A biology major at UM, she is the daughter of Anthony Young and Karen Sturgeon.
