Shan Jones will have the opportunity to compete in her first season with the Lady Falcons. Last season, Shan suffered a knee injury prior to the start of the season and received a medical redshirt. She will compete for playing time this season as a guard. Shan competed for coach Greg Adams at Hartselle High School, where she was an All-State and All-Region selection. She was also named to the National Honor Society, and to Mu Alpha Theta.

A political science major at UM, she is the daughter of Willie and Angela Jones.
