Nate Russ competes in his
second and final season with the Falcons. Last season he divided
time between starting and appearing in relief. He appeared in a
team-high 28 games and started in seven games. Nate posted a 6-2
record, 3.09 ERA with six saves and 65 strikeouts in 75.2
innings of work. He earned a victory with a season-best eight
strikeouts against Northwest Missouri.
Nate is a transfer to UM from
Northwest Shoals Community College, where he will competed for
coach David Langston.
Nate was an All-State, All-Super
12, All-Are, and Alabama 3A Player of the Year, while competing
for coach Greg Brewer at Central High School in Florence. An
Education major at UM, he is the son of Mark and Sharon Russ. |
