Ryan Norman competes in
his third season with the UM baseball program this season. He
will compete for playing time behind the plate. Last season,
Norman appeared in 61 games, started in 58 games and only
committed three errors for a .993 fielding percentage. At the
plate, he batted .291 with two home runs and 38 RBI. He had 15
multi-hit and 10 multi-RBI games and had a four-game hitting
streak. He went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and
two RBI against West Florida. In the classroom, he was rewarded
for his hard work as he was one of three Falcons named to the
HAVOC GSC All-Academic Team. As a freshman, Ryan appeared in 26
games, started in 11 games, and will compete for playing time
behind the plate. He hit two home runs and drove in six runs
against Stillman College. He also collected two hits while
scoring four runs against Arkansas-Monticello.
Ryan prepped at nearby Hoover High
School, where he competed for coach Rick Davis.
A biology major at UM, he is the son of Randy and Paige Hebson
and Ken Norman. |
