Eric Moore will compete
in his second and final season with the Montevallo Falcons this
season and will compete for playing time in the outfield. Last
season, Eric was among the leaders in several categories,
leading the team and Gulf South Conference in base hits (88). He
tied a school single season record for triples (7), was second
in batting and runs scored (73), fourth in on-base percentage
(.454) and fifth in slugging percentage (.514). He had 24
multi-hit and 13 multi-RBI games and posted a 13-game hitting
streak. He went 3-for-4 with four runs scored and three RBI
against Columbus State. For his work on the field he was named
to the First Team All-Gulf South Conference, GSC All-Tournament
Team and was named Player of the Week.
Eric is a transfer to UM from
Northwest Shoals Community College, where he was named First
Team All-Region, and First Team All-Conference while competing
for coach David Langston. As a sophomore, Eric batted .325 in 57
games, collecting four hits in a game against Columbia State and
Northwest Mississippi CC. He also batted .369 in 52 games as a
freshman.
Eric prepped at Central High
School in Florence, where was an All-State and All-Area
selection, while competing for coach Greg Brewer. A kinesiology
major at UM, he is the son of Mark and Leesa Moore. |
