BASEBALL: Falcons fall to No. 2 Delta State in GSC Tournament Championship game -- four named to All Tournament Team

MILLINGTON, Tenn. (5/7) -- For the second consecutive night, a ninth inning rally came up short as the University of Montevallo came up short, this time a 7-5 decision to No. 2 Delta State University in the championship game of the 2008 Gulf South Conference Baseball Championships at USA Stadium in Millington, Tenn. on Wednesday.

After the tournament, Eric Moore, Ryan Norman, Brantly Clay and Nate Russ were named to the GSC Baseball All-Tournament Team.    more

UM concludes the 2008 season with a record of 36-25 overall.   

BASEBALL: Moore and Blakney named First Team All-GSC -- Furuto named Second Team All-GSC

BIRMINGHAM (5/1) -- Three members of the University of Montevallo Falcon baseball team have been named to the All-Gulf South Conference Teams, it has been announced.

Senior outfielder Eric Moore and senior starting pitcher Zac Blakney have been named to the First Team All-GSC. Senior first baseman Daniel Furuto has been selected to the Second Team All-GSC. more

MEN'S GOLF: Falcons sign three for 2008-09

MONTEVALLO (5/1) – The University of Montevallo men’s golf program has signed three student-athletes for the 2008-09 school year.

Nathan Brown from Cullman, Aaron Ebert from Huron, Ohio and Jordan Melanson from Nelson, British Columbia have signed letters of intent to compete for the Falcons, beginning in Fall 2008.

VOLLEYBALL: Montevallo volleyball to host skills camp

MONTEVALLO -- The University of Montevallo volleyball team will be an individual skills camp on the University of Montevallo campus. There will be an individual skills camp for girls grades 8-12 from June 12-15,  2008.    more

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: WBB skills camp and play dates cancelled

MONTEVALLO (5/6) -- The skills camp and play dates to be hosted by the University of Montevallo women's basketball program for this summer has been cancelled. The play dates were scheduled for June 11, 19 and 24, while the team camp was scheduled for June 16-18.
 

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Ezell named new head women's basketball coach at UM

MONTEVALLO (4/29) – Brittney Ezell has been named the new head women’s basketball coach at the University of Montevallo it was announced Tuesday by Falcons athletic director Jim Herlihy.

Ezell comes to Montevallo after three years as the head coach at Okaloosa-Walton College in Niceville, Fla. She previously spent five years as the recruiting coordinator at the University of Alabama.    more
