VOLLEYBALL: Falcons Defeat Lander in Opening Match of the Carson-Newman Tournament

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team (13-10) defeated Lander University (14-6), 3-1. This is the second time this season that the Falcons have taken on Lander winning the first time, 3-2. Montevallo won 25-21, 25-13, 16-25, 26-24.  more

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men’s soccer team’s match with Clayton State University has been postponed due to weather. The game originally scheduled to take place tonight at 6 p.m. at Clayton State will be rescheduled to Tuesday, October 14 at 6 p.m.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women’s soccer team’s match with Columbus State University has been postponed due to weather. The game originally scheduled to take place tonight a 5 p.m. on Varsity Field will be rescheduled to a later date.

VOLLEYBALL: Falcons Even Up Conference Record with Win Over West Georgia

CARROLLTON, Ga. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team (12-10, 3-3 GSC East) evened up its conference record tonight (Oct. 7) with a victory over the University of West Georgia (5-14, 1-4 GSC East), 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-23). Senior Lauren Tortorici (Birmingham, Alabama) led the way with her seventh double-double of the season with a match-high 12 kills and 13 digs.   more

MEN'S SOCCER: Foster Earns GSC Player of the Week Honor, Third Straight for Montevallo

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Sophomore forward Nathaniel Foster (Brampton, Ontario) of the University of Montevallo men’s soccer team (7-4-0, 3-0-0 GSC) was named Gulf South Conference Player of the Week. Foster scored his first three career goals this past weekend helping the Falcons defeat conference opponents Harding University and Ouachita Baptist University.  more

WOMEN'S GOLF: Falcons Finish Third at Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate

LITTLE RIVER, S.C. – The University of Montevallo women’s golf team continued its impressive fall season taking third at the Lenoir-Rhyne/Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate. The Falcons outlasted 12 teams including host Lenoir-Rhyne University and Gulf South Conference member the University of West Georgia.   more

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The University of Montevallo women’s soccer team (5-3-3, 2-0-1 GSC) remained unbeaten in the Gulf South Conference after a 6-0 offensive explosion against conference opponent Ouachita Baptist (1-4-0, 0-4-0 GSC). Senior Kami Kapaku (Wailuku, Hawaii) recorded her third hat trick of the season scoring three goals against the Tigers.   more

MEN'S SOCCER: Falcons Make it Five-Straight Wins with Victory over Ouachita Baptist

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The University of Montevallo men’s soccer team (7-4-0, 3-0-0 GSC) improved to 3-0 in the Gulf South Conference with a convincing 3-0 win over host Ouachita Baptist (2-3-1, 0-2-1 GSC). Sophomore Nathaniel Foster (Brampton, Ontario) scored two in the victory  giving him three on the weekend.  more

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team (11-10, 2-3 GSC East) hosted the University of North Alabama (15-5, 4-0 GSC East) today (Oct. 4) dropping the contest 3-0. North Alabama came into the match riding a nine-match winning streak and cruised to the 3-0 victory over Montevallo.   more

MEN'S SOCCER: Falcons Overcome Two Goal Deficit Defeat Harding, 3-2

SEARCY, Ark. – The University of Montevallo men’s soccer team (6-4-0, 2-0-0 GSC) overcame a late two goal deficit to beat Harding University (3-7-1, 0-1-0 GSC) on the road in double overtime, 3-2. The Falcons scored two goals in the final 15 minutes of regulation to push the game into overtime and earned the victory less than five minutes into the second overtime period.     more

WOMEN'S SOCCER: Falcons Remain Unbeaten in GSC While Defeating Harding, 1-0

SEARCY, Ark. – Following four games in which the University of Montevallo women’s soccer team (4-3-3, 1-0-1 GSC) had scored two or more goals, it only took one to defeat conference and region rival Harding University (5-5-0, 0-1-0 GSC), 1-0. Harding came into the game ranked ninth in the region just ahead of No. 10 Montevallo. The Falcons used strong senior play to pick up the 1-0 region and conference victory over Harding.   more

CROSS COUNTRY: Falcons Finish Fifth at Tennessee Tech Invitational

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Montevallo women’s cross country team finished fifth at the Tennessee Tech Cross Country Invitational. The Falcons raced three NCAA Division I opponents while defeating one, Tennessee State University.  more

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team (11-9, 2-2 GSC East) traveled north to Huntsville to take on conference rival University of Alabama-Huntsville (1-18, 0-3 GSC East). The Falcons got off to a rough start falling behind 2-0 but were able to win three-straight sets to take the conference win, 3-2.   more
