Program Assessment Data
In compliance with the policies of the University of Montevallo and the accreditation standards of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), the Social Work Program conducts yearly program assessments and then uses the assessment data to verify the Program’s curriculum or make changes as needed. As part of our assessment, we measure and report student learning outcomes based on the core competencies that comprise the CSWE’s accreditation standards. These competencies are dimensions of social work practice that social workers are expected to master during their professional training. For a complete listing of the Program’s core competencies, please see the Program’s Student Handbook.
The Montevallo Social Work Program is required by the CSWE to report its most recent assessment outcomes to constituents and the public on its website and routinely up-dates (minimally every 2 years) these postings. For a summary of the Program’s most recent assessments, please click on the links on the right.
