The Visual Arts Achievement Program provides an opportunity for talented middle and high school students in Alabama to receive local and state recognition for their achievements in visual arts. Their artwork is displayed at the UM Department of Art and judged by the art faculty. The Department also provides, for these students in our district, many workshops on campus and an awards ceremony. The winners go to Montgomery for a statewide student exhibition and awards ceremony and a scholarship competition.
