  Martha Allen Lecture Series Contact

The Martha Allen Lecture Series in the Visual Arts brings prominent artists, designers, critics, and art historians to campus to deliver a public lecture about art and to meet directly with students and faculty. The Martha Allen Lecture Series in the Visual Arts was established in 1999 by a generous endowment from Mrs. Charles F. Grisham of Huntsville.

This annual lecture series is named in honor of Martha Allen who taught art at the University from 1934 to 1972. Martha was a well-respected artist and educator who worked tirelessly to introduce her students and the State of Alabama to contemporary art. Mrs. Grisham's gift acknowledges and continues this commitment at the University.
