The Gallery in Bloch Hall is managed by the Art Department in support of our curriculum and is also a significant public venue for the visual arts in the Montevallo community and in Shelby County. The Gallery presents four professional exhibitions and eight to ten BFA student exhibitions each year. The Gallery seeks to present contemporary work that demonstrates the diversity of current artistic practice and it occasionally presents works from historical periods. Artist's or curator's talks accompany most exhibition receptions. All exhibitions and gallery talks are free and open to the public.
