How did Montevallo affect your military career choice?
I was a music major, so naturally my first choice was to serve in a military band. I was also influenced by other Montevallo students who had already joined the 313th band.
Words of wisdom:
Avail yourself to the wonderful education that is offered at Montevallo. Work and study hard — it will make a difference now and later. Don’t neglect to take a look at what opportunities the military might offer after graduation. The retirement benefits are worth considering.
Who would you like to thank for your success?
The wonderful music faculty that was there during my tenure, particularly Dr. John Stewart and my trumpet teachers, Walter Moeck and Dr. John Owen.
What was your favorite aspect of Montevallo?
The small town, small campus, friendly atmosphere. I made many wonderful lifelong friendships while I was there.
