Freshman Take Flight Week
 

Take Flight Week, occurring August 26th - 28th, is an experience where new students meet other freshmen, are acclimated with campus,  and are made aware of the many academic and social opportunities available to Montevallo students. Programming typically includes UM student-led information sessions giving the student perspective of all facets of campus life. A variety of content sessions are offered, ranging from how students can get involved to the academic and social requirements for which students are held responsible. Freshmen who attend S.O.A.R. already have a space reserved at Take Flight Week.  No separate registration is necessary.
 

Freshmen entering Montevallo in the Fall Semester of 2009 who do not attend S.O.A.R. in July will register for fall semester classes as part of Take Flight Week.  Prior to registration, students will meet with an academic advisor from their major area of study.
