Take Flight, occurring August 20th - 22nd, is the process by which new students are acclimated to campus, meet other freshmen, and are made aware of the many academic and social opportunities available to Montevallo students. Programming typically includes UM student-led information sessions giving student perspectives of all facets of campus life. A variety of content sessions are offered, ranging from how students can get involved in some of the many student organizations to the academic and social requirements for which students are held responsible. Student activities are planned for each evening of Orientation. Students who do not attend a S.O.A.R. session will register for their Fall Semester classes as part of Take Flight week.
