Academic Alert Program - Resources for Students
What is the Academic Alert Program ( AAP)?
AAP is a system that allows faculty members to refer students for academic support. If you are referred through AAP , your instructor feels that you would benefit from additional resources which will lead to your academic success. This might include academic advising, tutoring assistance, or counseling support.
How does it work?
You will receive a forUM e-mail,or a phone call from your academic advisor or a member of the student support staff. These staff members will assist you in directing you to resources which will support your academic success. This may entail directing you to various campus resources including:
- academic advising
- Counseling Center
- Career Center
- Harbert Writing Center
- tutoring
Our goal is to provide you with a College service that will assist you in your academic success.
Why is AAP Important for you?
The Academic Alert Program is designed to help you succeed by getting better grades and graduating. It's not designed to be punitive or judgmental – AAP referrals do not appear on your transcript or affect your financial aid.
