Students, faculty and staff members parking on campus must register their vehicles and/or motorcycles annually, for which a fee is charged and the appropriate permit issued.
Vehicles may be registered at any time during normal business hours at the Cashier’s Office (Cash, Check or Credit Card) or University Police Department (Cash or Check only).
The following information is required for registration:
Name and address (campus and home)
Vehicle description, license number and Insurance Information
UMID Number (M #)
Refusing to give the correct information on your vehicle registration form will result in a parking permit not being issued and may result in disciplinary action.
Upon registration, commuter and resident student drivers will be issued a sticker parking permit. These parking permits are to be attached to the inside front windshield on the lower passenger side.
They do not need to be taped but properly attached to the windshield and in full view from the front of your vehicle; failure to comply may result in parking privileges being revoked.
Upon registration, Faculty/Staff and drivers with disabilities will be issued a hangtag parking permit. To properly display, the permit must be hung from the rearview mirror with the decal number facing the windshield and unobstructed by any other objects.
The person to whom the parking permit is registered will be responsible for any violations pertaining to that parking permit, regardless of who is operating or owns the vehicle.
Replacement of a lost, stolen, or destroyed parking permit will be at the expense of the registrant for $25.00.
In the event that the parking permit is misplaced or forgotten, temporary permit may be obtained at the University Police Department.
Permit color or color blocks on the permit designate the proper parking area(s) for the registered vehicle.
