What defines the Purple Side?
The Purple side prides itself in being diverse, energetic, spirited, united, accepting, motivated, determined, ambitious, creative, and fun! But most of all, we pride ourselves in being a family.

The Purple Side is made up of people from all over the world and from every major on campus, with different backgrounds, religions, and ideas; who all are united to make one big Purple family. This family goes beyond the two months of college night and transcends into friendships that will last a lifetime.

Why should you join?

It is FUN!  There’s always something going on with the Purple side. We have several events throughout the year, like our annual Baby Purple Mixer and our Purple Thanksgiving Potluck. Our events are open to everyone and are a great way to meet Purples and find out what we are all about.

How can you get involved?
There is a place for everyone on the Purple side. You can audition for the show, even if you are not a theatre or vocal major. Athletes can play for the side in women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, men’s soccer and men’s basketball. You can audition for the cheerleading squad or the Purple Orchestra. There are so many ways to be a part of the side!

What is a PV?
Purple side is where you can find your place in college and become a part of the longest homecoming tradition in the nation.

Purple spirit is the idea that whether we win or lose on Saturday night, we will always have a Purple Victory. As long as you had a fun experience, made friends, and made memories that will last, then you have had a Purple Victory!
