Conduct and General Regulations

It is expected that each user of the McChesney Center recognize the role of modeling
acceptable social behavior and contributing to a positive community.
All users are expected to adhere to the policies and
procedure approved for the McChesney Student Activity Center (McChesney SAC). Inappropriate language,
yelling, profanity, rude or boisterous behavior, gestures or actions in
communication with patrons, professional, or staff of McChesney SAC
may result in removal from the facility for the day, referral for
Justice/Administrative hearing, suspension/termination of membership, or a
combination of the consequences identified. Lack of cooperation in adhering to
the rules governing lockers, equipment checkout, participation, and regulations
are subject to the same consequences previously listed.
Memberships provide access to all McChesney SAC facilities: walking track, weight
room, cardio room, racquetball courts and pool. Memberships are annual and
are non-refundable.
No one under 18 years of age may have membership or participate as a
guest at the McChesney SAC. (Exceptions are made only in situations that
arise from group contracts made with the University. Special regulations
apply.)
Show/scan your membership I.D. EVERY TIME you enter the
facility. Athletic teams utilizing the weight/cardio area do not
have to scan individually.
The University is not responsible for items left in the locker rooms.
Bring and use a lock to secure your valuables.
If you wish to leave your workout clothes at the McChesney SAC you may rent a
locker for $20.00 per semester. Locks left on lockers overnight are subject
to removal.
No cell phones or cameras are allowed in the McChesney SAC.
All showers must be finished 15 minutes before closing.
All McChesney SAC patrons using the pool, racquetball courts, cardio, and /or
weight rooms must bring a towel or purchase on for use at the front desk for
$2.00.
Non-marking shoes are required when utilizing the racquetball or
multi-purpose courts.
Eye guards are required when utilizing the racquetball courts.
When crowded, racquetball courts (except the challenge court) should be
released to the next patrons on the half-hour.
Smoking is prohibited in the McChesney SAC.
Patrons unfamiliar with the equipment should ask supervisors for
information regarding proper use of cardio machines.
Any violations of the regulations above may result in removal from the
facility for the day, referral for Justice/Administrative hearing, suspension or
termination of membership or a combination of the consequences listed.
