Drop/Add Procedures and Dates

 

Student class schedule changes (drop/add)

Students may drop/add during the specified period either through forUM or in the Registrar's Office.  A student considering either dropping or adding a class should discuss the change with the academic advisor.  A student dropping a class may want to discuss the drop with the instructor prior to dropping the class.  If dropping or adding a class in the Registrar's Office print and complete the drop add form. Forms are also available in the Registrar's Office. There is no drop/add fee charged. 


Regular drop/add does not require the advisor’s signature. Drop/add can be done through forUM. However, if the registration access code has not been entered by your advisor, then you will have to drop/add in the Registrar's Office.

May   8 –  Last day to receive a refund for dropped course(s)
May 24 –  Last day to drop course(s)
May 24 –  Last day to withdraw from the University 
 

SUMMER I 2012

May 30  –  Last day to add
May  31 –  Last day to receive a refund for dropped course(s)
June 28 –  Last day to drop course(s)
June 28 –  Last day to withdraw from the University

SUMMER II 2012

July   6 –    Last day to add
July   9 –    Last day to receive a refund for dropped course(s)
Aug.  2 –    Last day to drop one course(s)
Aug.  2 –    Last day to withdraw from the University

FALL 2012

Aug  31 –   Last day to add
Aug  31 –   Last day to receive a refund for dropped course(s)
Dec.   7 –   Last day to withdraw from the University
Dec.   7 –   Last day to drop course(s)
    

You are responsible for all registration and drop/add done through forUM. Please pay very close attention to what you do. After you register or drop/add classes on self service always check your schedule for accuracy.
