International Student - Affidavit of Support

International applicants must certify that they possess sufficient funds to cover costs of tuition, fees, living expenses including room and meals, health insurance and books. All official, original financial documentation
must show the exact amount of money available in U.S. dollars. Only official, original statements in English
will be accepted. The form I-20 will not be issued unless this information is complete. The U.S. Consulate
also may request financial statements when the student applies for the visa and/or at the Port of Entry into the United States. Therefore, it is advisable to keep copies of all financial statements with the student's passport.

The U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Service requires the University of Montevallo to maintain in its files verification that
the applicant, family member, and/or sponsor has adequate funds in the bank for the applicant's studies at the University of Montevallo. THIS FINANCIAL STATEMENT MUST BE NOTARIZED OR SEALED AS ORIGINAL WITH AN OFFICIAL BANK STAMP OR SEAL.
