Alpha Gamma Delta is an international fraternity for women existing to provide opportunities for personal development through the spirit of sisterhood. The opportunities that Alpha Gamma Delta offers are endless, but most importantly we offer support and guidance that every college girl needs. It is a place where you can be yourself, and have everyone love you for it.
The members of Alpha Gam are very diverse, but we come together in our commitment to become better women. We are dedicated to scholarship, philanthropy, leadership and individuality. In these areas, Alpha Gams have a tradition for being “first.” Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity was the first to have a national minimum grade point average requirement, thus pushing us to continually value education and set a standard for everyone else.
Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity was the first to have a philanthropy foundation of its own. The Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation is solely supported by Alpha Gams around the nation and uses its donations to fund research for Diabetes. Montevallo Alpha Gams host exciting fundraisers each year to support the foundation, including the He’s a Lady Pageant, Trick or Treat for Diabetes, and Lip Jam.
We are also very dedicated to leadership and are proud of our campus involvement through organizations like SGA, SAAM, Student Recruitment Team and Montevallo Masters. We are also proud of our sisters involved in the Alabamian Staff, Campus Outreach, and College Night, as well as many scholarly organizations on campus. UM Track, Cheerleading, and Tennis are just a few other campus activities our members are involved in.
We advocate lifetime involvement in Alpha Gamma Delta, which includes joining a circle of over 145, 000 women in the U.S. and Canada. In all of these things, scholarship, philanthropy leadership and individuality, we aim to fulfill our Vision to “Inspire the Woman, Impact the World.”
