Greek Life

Community Service and Philanthropy

"A small group of thoughtful, concerned citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

-Margaret Mead

The Greek community addresses the needs of both the University and Montevallo communities by sponsoring community service and philanthropic projects.

Each chapter dedicates itself to worthy local causes and (inter) national  philanthropies, donating their time and fundraising efforts to help others. The governing bodies of the Greek organizations also coordinate activities so Greeks can work together for the Montevallo community. Working together on such projects not only benefits worth causes, but also fosters personal growth and greater unity among Greek members.

The Montevallo Greek community supports:
Make-a-Wish, Children's' Miracle Network, Service for Sight, The Ronald McDonald House, Diabetes Research, Boy Scouts of America, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Muscular Dystrophy Foundation, and These Hands Don't Hurt only to name a few.
