We are looking for the right person to fill the position of Marketing and Social Media intern. TekLinks is looking for hardworking individuals who are enthusiastic about their work and willing to learn. Are you the right person?

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Event Planning- logistics, attendee follow up, management of registration site, etc.

  • Assist in the development of quarterly marketing plans

  • Managing all company social media outlets: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube Channel, Tech Tuesday sessions with CBS 42

  • Work with outsourced marketing firm on various projects

  • Develop monthly press releases

  • Create layout of monthly e-cards, covering provided technology material, to be distributed to all clients

  • Opportunity to accompany TekLinks personal to local speaking engagements and client facing events

  • Research and compile data for competitive market analysis

  • Write client testimonials

Candidates interested in this internship should possess strong administrative and IT skills (including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), in addition to, excellent communication and writing skills. This is an unpaid internship, eligible for college credit only. We can accommodate (3) or (6) hour credit requirements. The primary incentive associated to this position is the opportunity to gain exposure to overall business operations, while investigating a career opportunity in the IT services industry. This hands-on experience will help to determine if a career in this industry, or in a marketing role, is the right avenue to pursue.

National Internships

Great Swamp and Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge - paid
Great Swamp and Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) manage Intern Programs for qualified student applicants who are interested in refuge internships. Each year 4-12 paid internships are available for college students or recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in natural resources (typically 3 or 4 interns will be selected by Wallkill River NWR and 6 to 8 interns will be selected by Great Swamp NWR each year, but this may vary based on refuge needs). Internships are hosted during the summer months, but may also be hosted during the spring, fall or winter if a qualified applicant is interested. An intern is a college student or recent graduate that works full-time for 12 to 16 weeks to acquire experience or college credit. Interns may be provided free housing (based on availability).
