ABC 33/40 Department: News Reports to: Executive Producer Availability: Immediate
Duties: Assist Executive Producer or Managing Editor in creation and development of news program format and newscast elements. Supervise daily production and execution of newscast elements including format, news content, graphics, franchises, etc. Prepare format/rundown for assigned newscast. Assign and review news scripts for assigned newscasts. Ensure that all additional production details are completed, including graphics, chyrons, etc. Provide control room supervision with regard to timing and content, and coordination and execution of live shots while program is on-air. Ability to organize and manage one's own activities with a minimum of direct supervision. Case management experience highly desirable. Motivational Interviewing or Motivational Enhancement Therapy training desirable. Understanding of the dynamics of parent/child and family relationships is required.
