Experienced Rider Course-Skills Plus (ERC-SP)

Whether you have been riding for one year or throughout your lifetime, the ERC-SP has something for you.  This course is an additional step in Rider Education and Training.  The course is approximately 7 hours in length, and is the perfect place to develop, discuss and/or improve your riding skills.  During this course you will develop and hone skills for cornering, braking, and emergency maneuvers.  Additionally, in this offering you have the option to gain  the experience needed riding alone - OR - while riding with a passenger (Two-Up).

For the ERC-SP course, operators must be a minimum of 18 years of age and must bring a valid driver license with motorcycle endorsement (class M).  Two-Up passenger participants are required to be 18 years of age (16 with parental/legal guardian signed consent) and must use all protective gear required for the operator. 

 

Operators must provide a street-legal motorcycle which must pass an inspection by the RiderCoaches.  A T-CLOCS inspection, including tires/wheels, controls, lights, oil/other fluids, chassis, and stands must be completed prior to course start time.  Motorcycles must be properly insured as ATSC/AMSP insurance does not cover damage to motorcycles or passengers during this course (proof of insurance is required prior to class start time).  Protective riding gear requirements for this course will be provided in the pre-course registration confirmation package. 

 

ERC-SP operators participating without a passenger need to have a sufficient amount of riding experience.  ERC-SP operators participating with a passenger should have some degree of riding experience with passengers prior to course enrollment. 

 

By completing this course you may be eligible for an insurance discount.  Please check with your insurance company to verify.

 

Course Time:  Saturday - 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Class ending times are approximate and may vary from class to class.
